The South Madison Coalition of the Elderly dedicated to the independence of older adults

Other Coalition Programs

A Sunday dinner program is held monthly, in cooperation with the Madison Senior Center. The program includes a classic Sunday dinner served restaurant-style in the airy dining room of the Madison Senior Center, 330 W. Mifflin St.  The meal is served at 12:30 p.m.  Afterwards, live entertainment is provided by different local performers every month.  Bingo for prizes wraps up the afternoon, with activites concluding around 2:30 p.m.
Reservations are required by noon on the Friday before the event.  Cost of the meal is $3.50 for older adults.  Persons under 60 are welcome to attend, but are asked to pay the full cost of the meal ($6.00).

A monthly newsletter, available at no cost, contains information about the Coalition’s programs and other activities for the community's older adults.

Quality Standards for Group Homes is a service developed and monitored by the Coalition staff. This project is sponsored by the Dane County Department of Human Services to encourage quality care for older adults living in group homes.
